Hello All! Although I am still couponing, it has been VERY scaled back lately. We've been super busy and let's face it, couponing takes time! So I will be posting from time to time but for the most part, I will not be posting actively. I do still price match on a regular basis but I will not be posting HOT Match Ups any longer. Again, very time consuming and as it's not income generating (I've never made a penny! lol) I need to focus my time elsewhere! Feel free to share good deals anytime on the Facebook page! Happy Shopping!

Walgreen's HEADACHE!

Oh my goodness! So I went to Walgreens yesterday to try the PepsiCo deal featured on Wild for Wags' website. I thought it may not all work so I knew ahead of time that I might not get the best deals. However, it turned out way wrong! I had to fight for my 3000 bonus points this morning with the store and now I have to go back to get a refund on my Pepsi that they over charged me! URGH!!!
This is what I had hoped for:

6 Chex Mix on sale $.99
      Used (2) $.60/1 MFC and (4) $.50/1 MFC's
I was hoping the $1/2 Store Coupon would still work, but it did not (it expired the day before)
      Paid $.39 to $.49 each
4 Pepsi 12 packs
Used $1/2 MFC on Pepsi 12 packs at the store
(were supposed to be 4/$12 but she charged me $3.49 for one and $12 for three so I need to
return to the store for my $3.49 refund).
2 Tostitos $1.99 each
I was also hoping the B1G1 FREE would work but it did not.

Then if you spend $15 on PepsiCo products, you are supposed to get 3000 bonus points = $3. I did not get them either until I called today and had to speak with a manager! I spent $20.21 on all of this and could have gotten it all for $12! After my bonus points today and after I get my refund, I will have paid $13.72 for these products which is okay but not GREAT!

So, if you are going to try this...make sure the Pepsi rings up at 4/$12, make sure you spend another $3 (or $5 if you use the $1/2 coupons on the package) to get your 3000 bonus points and also know that the Chex Mix won't be FREE and the Tostitos is not ringing up B1G1 FREE. Still good deals though!

My Favorite Way to Save: BLACK FRIDAY STYLE

We did most of our Christmas shopping this weekend! Almost done! Plus we decorated inside and out for the holidays and saved on those items too! FUN weekend!!!

My Favorite Savings:

Kohl's - saved 15% with BLACKFRI code, earned 5% with Shop At Home, earned $15 for every $50 spent and got FREE shipping! I was able to buy some awesome gifts for my niece and nephew and could buy them 2 and 3 gifts for the price of 1! YAY!!!

Macy's - save 15% with in ad shopping pass and $10 off of a $25 purchase

-

Walmart - Saved BIG time with hubby shopping Friday at 8pm specials! This was our second year doing this and he was able to get both big items we wanted both times! This year he had to park far away and didn't have a shopping cart...but he still succeeded!

Lowe's - $.99 quart pointsettas and $5 for a 15ft garland

Walgreens - Buy Hallmark gift wrap at $1.99, Get 2 FREE
18oz Patriot Candles at $9.99, Get 2 FREE
Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent at $6.99, Get 2 FREE
Plus FREE scrunci's, sleep sheets (love these) and Carmex
(plus they had way more FREE stuff I just didn't have the time)

CVS - FREE charmin, Nips carmels, Matchbox car, Powerade & Kraft Mac n Chs
(This was during the early week leading up to Black Friday. They also had many more FREE
items, I just ran out of time!)

Michaels
Saved at least 50% Christmas Floral & Decorations PLUS got 30% off my entire purchase on Thursday starting at 4pm & used a 50% off a regular priced item coupon

Next year I'm going to save double the amount so we can buy more! SO many great deals...next year I hope Kohl's runs their sale again for small appliances for a little over $1 and I want to get a dutch oven for $15; the hubby wants a BIG screen TV (we could have saved $600 this year) and we'll get a bunch more gifts for the family!!! Something to look forward to! :D

*These turned out to be $3.99 each although on Hip2Save they stated they are supposed to be on sale 2/$4. There is a way to print the ad with the sale price and get everything for free, but I was okay paying $.41 for each item!

I paid $14.10 and got back $10RR, so $4.10 with tax or $.41 each!!!!

Dollar Tree was good about taking the coupons. They have to manually enter each one so it took a few minutes. They also said they will only accept 2 printed coupons per transaction. They did not have the soft scrub and the speed stick was too small for the coupon. I also saw Soft Soap hand soap, Libby's Vegetables ($.79 each), Sun laundry detergent, Palmolive dish soap, Spic N Span, Comet, Ajax, Betty Crocker boxed potatoes, Stove Top stuffing, Uncle Ben's rice and Chow Mein noodles.

Coupon Swap was a Great Success!

Our first coupon swap was a success! Ania, Sydney and I swapped coupons, shared tips and steals and watched the little ones interact! I wasn’t sure how it would go at first or how we would do it, but for the most part, Sydney started with a whole insert, clipped the coupons she wanted and then passed them to me. I clipped the coupons I wanted and passed the insert to Ania. We also had a pile in the middle of the table with coupons anyone could take and Ania brought All You magazines to page through for coupons.

It was also nice because before the swap, we requested coupons for the other people to print to bring to the swap. So, for example, I knew Syndey likes organic coupons and Ania likes Gerber coupons, so I printed some for them and brought them to the swap. Then I requested Chex Mix and cereal coupons which they brought for me. So, I think I ended up with 6 Chex Mix coupons which are only $.40 this week at Walgreens! Yay! I also clipped some Glade Coupons for the deals at Walgreens and Syndey clipped some Dove coupons for the $.80 shampoo and conditioner at CVS this week! Plus we clipped a bunch more!

Such a smart way to coupon because you can get multiple coupons of the same product without buying so many papers, ordering them in the mail or reaching your print limit! Plus it was so much fun to meet Syndey and her daughter as well as see Ania again and meet her daughter! Both little girls were SO well behaved for the entire time! It’s also fun to connect and share tips, websites, strategies, deals, etc. with other people doing the same thing!

The plan is to do it again before Thanksgiving (Black Friday deals are awesome) if not before! I would love to meet more of you and we had a TON of extra coupons left over so there were plenty to go around! THANKS Sydney for such an awesome suggestion and to Sydney and Ania for swapping coupons with me today!
